I'm afraid my car won't pass inspection because it is too loud. Is there a temporary solution to quiet my exhaust down just to pass inspection?

Yes go to the local store and buy alot of plain steel wool. Go to the inspection point and park on side of building where they can not see you. With a broom stick stuff shit loads of the steel wool intoo your muflers. Pack it in there nice and tight. When you go threw inspection it will pass. But what ever you do dont rev it too high during inspection. After you pass on the drive home rev it acouple of times to allmost redline and it should blow it all out. If it doesnt come out it will over time!

HAHA Thanks sully. I really appreciate that advice. Should be common sense, but I could fish it out with a close hanger right afterwards right?

How far should I shove it up there?

From what i have heard, if you are close to the limit, they will look for the steelwool and will fail you for that "trick" might be worth it to have a set of stock/near stock mufflers to put on just for inspections.
