Bitburg Drag Racing - 9th and 10th of Oct

Ok who is all going. If you didnt know this is the last month of race season for Bitburg. Well actually it is the last time racing will ever be held at Bitburg. Bitburg is being contracted out and racing will never be held here again.

4. (Becky) Red 1992 Shelby Daytona IROC turbo

Where did you here that? I had heard it to but Chad said Silke the woman that organizes it said there would be races next year. I'm wondering where that if was put out. Just curious would like to know if it's really not happening anymore really enjoy going.

I heard it from another person at the races again that they entire airfield was contracted out. I guess they are going to use it to teach people how to fly. This makes four people I have heard it from. I even heard it from a guy in June from the Netherlands also. Rumor is spreading pretty quickly. So not sure.

Ok this is the no bull shit scoop on if there is or is not going to be any more races this year. This is FACT FACT FACT!!! I have spoken with the orginizers of 1 on 1 motorsports and the following are the facts.

There is a Cargo Transpot company that is in the process of purchacing the airfield. If the Contract goes through there will be large Cargo Aircraft landing and taking off Mon-Fri. But prior to this there will need to be upgrades done to the flightline witch will take about 5 years. So the first cargo flight will be in about 5 to 6 years from now. 1on1motorsports have spoken with the cargo company and have been given the goahead to continue racing untill that time comes if the contract goes through.

If the company does not score the contract 1on1motorsports have been given the green light to race for the next 10 years!

This is FACT, NO rumors.... This did not come from anywear but the horses mouth.

So if they do get the contract this will be the last year then, correct? Because they will have to fix up the airfield and then there will be no more racing. Just making sure I read it correctly.

NO if they get the contract 4 more years of racing
if they dont get contract 10 more years of racing

Hopin to see a good turn out for the season ender....... Should be much better and not so crowded...... Hopefully they'll get to do the eliminator on Sun!

The weather doesnt get any better then this weekend. Sunny and 64 degrees is what they are calling for over the weekend in Bitburg. Cant beat that.

I'll be there, as a spectator. Can someone tell me what time the "gates" open and when the racing starts? Thanks,
