Bitburg Drag Racing - 18&19 September 2010

I will allways be at Bitburg. I usually rope off a large to camp and park all the cars. Most of the time all of the club members all hang to gather and we bbq, drinks some beer and have a great time! So look for me and I will have aplace ready for you!

Dude you can still make the Oct bitburg if you can't make this 1, but its the last of the season til May next year!

Just wondering if this list is still current and who will be camping want to make sure we have enough room for all.

Me and Brian will be going up just Saturday so we will not be camping out.

Lets hope the weather shapes up. Weather Channel is calling for 60% chance for rain on Saturday and Sunday. It is still early in the week, but I am hoping it goes away.

i looked on yahoo weather this morning and it does still say 30% on sat and 60% sun. I am praying it goes away too. but i look at it like this, if I get a couple of good runs in to see where I am at will be fine. We can all socialize around a camp fire and have a good time when we are not racing! Which reminds me to let everyone know to either briing a bag of fire wood with them or go to the commissary there and get a bag.. I will bring a couple of bags but I cant supply for the whole weekend!

Not sure who he is actually. I just heard he was coming. He raced against me and beat me by only a couple of tenths of second. He posted a comment that he was going to put a lot more on me because he was going to have better tires this time. I have been trying to find him but not sure where he is stationed. I just know he is coming up. I can take him off though if you like.

The weather forcast for this weekend is better now. No rain.. OUTSTANDING!!!!

I will try and be there, but I don't think the car will pass inspection. The exhaust is right at 95dB at 3k. It is probably 100 or more at 3800.

Take it to Baumholder............ Will probably pass there....

I was talking about the inspection at the track. The webpage states that the car needs to be less than 98dB at 3800rpm. Do they not inspect it at the track? I have my German tags on it.

Dont worry about this they have never checked my exhaust ever. Nor have they check anybody elses that I have been with. They mostly check to make sure nothing is lose or leaking and that your break pedal has pressure.

James. Is there a morning rallye point? Also, where does everyone stay for the night? A brauhaus?

James I think Chad is going to meet up Friday night to get up there and sleep the weekend Me and Brian the other two SRT-4s are just going to meet up Saturday morning at Bitburg just for the day.

Cool, so either way I should be able meet up with someone. Now I just need to relower the car from last year's transit across the pond.

Me and Brian will be up at Bitburg by 0900. I usually get there right when the Tech opens to get the car through the line quickly.

Chad and I and Josh will be there the whole weekend. Chad is putting up and American flag in an orange cone where we've set up camp. Just look for that or even his red and white gt500 can't miss it! See ya there!

Not going, will miss this one, but should be ready for the season finally next month.

What was everyones best times? I was having hesitation problems in the upper RPM. I am think my sparkplugs need to regapped, I have a bad sparkplug wire or I could need new sparkplugs all together. I should have been in the upper 12s on street tires considering I was tuned this time. I ran 13.2s in July when the car was untune. I am going to pull the plugs and see if they need to be regapped.

Sep 18 at Bitburg
Street tires and 20psi boost. Car was tuned. Having hesitation problems in upper RPM. Possibly need to look at sparkplugs and/or wires. The hesitation kept the car from running its best. Should have ran faster then July.

Comparing your times, the biggest problem looks to be yout 60ft time. You were .6 - .7 seconds slower in that part of the track and you were not able to make up any of that lost time until the last 1/8th mile.

It was great meeting up with everyone, hopefully I will be able to attend a few more events before putting the car away for the winter.

I'll be posting the updated spreadsheets tomorrow if anyone else has times. Didn't have time to get to it tonight........ I agree it was great meeting everyone. Its always nice to be able to put a face with the avatars... Hope to see all ya guys at the up coming events!

Chad what did you and the other mustang guys run with your slicks?

I did not pull the times I wanted too at all. There was just too many people there for me to dial in the car. I still blew threw 1st and 2nd even with the slicks! I need to upgrade suspension to get the power to the ground!!

Yea I didnt like the 200+ cars there either. To many people. I think it wont be that bad for Oct 9th. I bought slicks so that is what I will be running that weekend.

Are you going to camp with us in OCT.

I believe Brian will be camping out Friday till Saturday. I probably wont be there until Saturday and just for the day. I will let Brian know to look for you there over the weekend.
